People first. Every time.

Helping organisations be more people-centred

Everyone here at Beyond believes people are the key differentiator in any organisation. How you engage and enable your people will have the biggest impact on performance. And we know people. Through expert coaching, training and leadership development, we enable you to unlock the potential of your people and perform even better.

Why Beyond?

For us at Beyond, our vision is for every organisation to put ‘People first, Every time’. This means we aspire to create a world of work where people are truly valued for all that they bring. A world where organisations have cultures built on mutual trust, and their people are encouraged and supported to become the best version of themselves. A world in which effort and commitment is acknowledged and there is genuine compassion for those who work to deliver the organisation’s growth and purpose. In pursuit of this vision, we will help create a world of work where everyone can thrive and, as a result, contribute to a flourishing society.

Lesley Thompson is the founder and lead coach of Beyond and has extensive experience developing organisations & leadership teams, and enabling cultural change. She is an expert and highly-experienced coach, achieving the highest coaching certification level of Master Certified Coach (MCC) by the International Coaching Federation (ICF). She has also supported national and international organisations in the health, social, voluntary and private sectors, as well as holding numerous board-level roles.

Lesley setup Beyond in 2003 and set out to create an organisation where everything was rooted in a coach approach. This meant truly listening to people, treating everyone with unconditional positive regard (acceptance and support of a person regardless of what they say or do), using open questions to find out what is really going on, seeking to work in partnership with each other, seeing each other as valuable contributors to the conversation, acknowledging the value each other bring, empowering each other to perform at their best, making sure each other feel understood and ultimately support each other to be the best version of themselves, both individually and the wider organisation. By operating this way, it allows me and the rest of the Beyond team to quickly build trust, understand what is really needed to help unlock the potential of people and increase the performance of individuals and the organisations they work in.
